The holidays are marked by festive occasions, and time spent with family and friends. All Care Hospice recognizes that for many the holidays evoke memories of losing a loved one. In an effort to support the community during the holiday season, All Care is hosting two programs. First, “Coping with the Holidays” will be offered on Tuesday, December 14th at 6:00 pm at the All Care Center for Grief & Loss, 583 Chestnut Street, Lynn, and is open to the public.

All Care Hospice Lights of Remembrance Ceremony

On Wednesday, December 8th at 5:30 pm All Care will host the annual Lights of Remembrance ceremony at the All Care Hospice Center for Grief & Loss. A tree lighting will be held outside followed by an informal reception inside the Center. Lights of Remembrance is a means to say “I remember” and celebrate the lives and the love we miss most. Dedicating a light in the name of a loved one is a special way to remember them during the holiday season while ensuring that hospice and home care will be available to patients with life-limiting illness and their families in the future. For more information about the Lights of Remembrance ceremony or to make a tax-deductible, year-end donation, please call (800) 246-2449 x119 or email jchamberlin@allcare.org.

“We also encourage people to attend our on-going grief support groups held every Tuesday evening from 6:00 – 7:30pm at the Center, which are free and open to the community,” said Diane Moran, All Care Hospice Bereavement Services Coordinator. “Our groups offer an environment where what you say and how you feel will be accepted. You can tell your story of loss to others who have a good idea about what you are going through. You won’t be in therapy, but the support is therapeutic.” If you have questions about any of our support programs, please call (781) 581-1608 x571 or email dmoran@allcare.org.
