All Care Hospice, the City & the Lynn Item work together to kick off the holiday season

Press Release / December 4, 2009

For the past seven years, All Care has teamed up with The City and The Lynn Item to bring holiday cheer and lasting memories to the residents of Lynn. With Santa on hand to do the honors, the All Care tree on the Commons was lit at 5:00 pm on Thursday, December 3rd.

Singers from Building Bridges Through Music, directed by Doreen Murray, added to the festive atmosphere by leading an enthusiastic crowd in Christmas carols. Following the tree lighting, spectators proceeded to Central Square by trolley for the 3rd Thursdays’ Holiday In the Square festivities.

"This tree represents our caring and hope for all those we serve and have served in the Lynn community for the past 98 years," said Shawn Potter, All Care President & CEO. "We look forward to continuing this tree lighting tradition for many years to come." The All Care tree will be lit each evening throughout the holiday season for all to enjoy.

All Care Hospice’s holiday traditions continue on Thursday, December 10th at 5:30 pm with the illumination of a holiday tree in memory of loved ones for the Lights of Remembrance cermony at the All Care Hospice Center for Grief & Loss, 583 Chestnut St., Lynn. All are welcome.
