Grief and Loss Services in Massachusetts

The All Care Hospice Bereavement Program is an extension of hospice care and offers individual and group support to those who have experienced the loss of a loved one. In addition to helping patients and families during the dying process, we support grieving family members after a hospice patient’s death. Our bereavement program is available to assist families as they experience the natural grieving process.

Services Offered:

  • Educational Mailings: During the first 13 months following a death, family members and friends receive mailings with information about grief and suggestions for coping with the grieving process.
  • Support from Bereavement Counselor: Bereavement staff visits and calls families to offer emotional support and resources.
  • Support Groups: Grief classes and meetings for adults, adolescents and children to educate participants on the range of thoughts, feelings and behavioral characteristics of grief. Participants can share feelings and experiences in a confidential, supportive environment. Classes and support groups are also a resource for the community and are available to anyone who has suffered a loss at no cost.
  • Memorial Services: Memorial events honor patients and provide an opportunity for families to connect with the hospice staff that cared for their loved one.
